SRI AV. SHAMA RAO - FOUNDER
Our Founder Sri AV Shama Rao is a popular figure in and around Ramamurthy Nagar with a ‘Gandhi Cap’ always busy in visiting the Civic authorities with the complaints of the fellow residents of Ramamurthy Nagar and nearby areas. Born on 15 April 1941, completed his primary and secondary education Malleswaram Govt High School and joined in Indian Tele Phone Industries Ltd Bangalore. He served the industry for about 35 years and retired from service during 1995.
Normally people retiring from services will take rest with their family, children and grandchildren. But in the case of Sri Shama Rao, he started his full time social service activities on retirement, as a well-known Civic Leader and activist in Ramamurthy Nagar.
He is a matured social activist who led movements to promote area development, increase government transparency, fight against caste discrimination and corruption in public life. In addition to organizing and encouraging grassroots level movements, Sri Shama Rao frequently travels all along the areas of this sub-urban locality to help others.
Though he is retired and having 80 years of age, his commitment to serve public is as of a 25 year old youth! Almighty had given good health for him to serve the society.
He was a volunteer representative for the 'Cancer aid Society ' Bangalore branch, with its head office at Lucknow and he was the only member from entire Bangalore. He visits Schools and educates children about the awareness of the health and advice to be far from drug addiction. He had acted in short-documentary films with good messages to the society.
Shri. A. V. Sham Rao, is the founder of our 'Residents welfare Trust Ramamurthy Nagar'. He lives a very simple life but dreams to build 'Love India Group' by bringing all walks of people together.
SRI. KRISHNA MURTHY. K - PRESIDENT
Sri Krishna Murthy K, born on 10th May 1972 and brought up in an agriculturist family at Kalkere, Bangalore, is the President of Residents’ Welfare Trust Ramamurthy Nagar. He did his primary education in Government Primary School at Channasandra and Kalkere, followed by high school education in Sri Sidhartha Residential High School (SSRHS) Kithanur, Bangalore.
He started associating with students’ union activities right from high school. He became an active student union leader in SJRC College Bangalore while pursuing PUC and later BSc.
He was also actively participating and pursuing mainstream politics from Varthur electoral constituency. He began his political career as a youth leader by extending help to the general public of the area.
Sri Krishna Murthy is an immense reader. Every day despite of his busy schedule, he manages some time to spend with his books. His in-depth knowledge in language made him the President of Kannada Sahithya Parishad KR.Puram Block. He is also nominated as the Vice President for Bangalore District Kannad Sahithya Parishad.
In his early years, he started organizing people for social work. He started a movement in the name and style as Punya Bhoomi Seva Samithi and later founded Shantha Krishna Murthy Foundation with the support and association of many veterans in the social service field as its trustees.
Sri K. Krishna Murthy and his wife Smt. Shantha Krishnamurthy are the founders of the Punyabhoomi Mahila Co-Operative Souhardha Society which had grown with 1000 shareholders and with a turnover of more than rupee one crore. Sri K. Krishna Murthy and Smt Shantha Krishnamurthy are blessed with two children. Dr. K. Sandeep MBBS, and Mr. Prwuthi, a graduate in Business Administration and an active Cricket player.
